How Does the Draw Work?

Nine Finalists will be drawn between 7pm,8pm & 9pm

3 Finalist will be drawn per hour – Each patron drawn will take part in the Take A Chance Cash Draw

The finalist drawn will select 1 of 9 boxes displayed with a cash prize inside.

Once the prize has been selected the patron will have select 1 of 9 lucky boxes of a different set of boxes  which will determine if the patron HALF, MATCH or DOUBLE their winnings

Each hour the finalists will be given a chance to choose a box according to the order that they were drawn, from the 9 boxes displayed on stage labelled C H A N C E I T! (with guaranteed prize money)

Whatever is inside the box it’s what the finalist will be winning

The finalist will then decide if they want to Take A Chance to choose from 9 separate boxes labelled HWC, where their winnings could be Halved, Matched or Doubled in Cash & +PLAY

HALF – Patrons get half of the amount in cash & match in +Play

E.g.  R2000 prize is halved therefore Prize is R1000 cash PLUS R1000 +Play

MATCH – Patrons get the same amount in +Play

E.g. R2000 +2000 +Play

DOUBLE – Patron gets double the amount in +Play

E.g. R2000 cash + R4000 +Play

Once a selection has been done the finalist will take home whatever they have chose

 

When can I activate my tickets?

Ticket activation start at 10am -8h55pm on draw days

All draws will be Manual Draws!

Patrons need to print and drop tickets in the Tambola/ Draw Bin

Weekly prize draws take place on Saturday 17 February; 2, 16, 30 March 2024

Weekly cash draws take place at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm selecting 3 finalist hourly

These are attendance draws ALL patrons are required to be present on draw days.

  1. Tickets are printable via EHost from 10am until 20h55 on the day of the promotion/draw
  2. Draw will take place on the promotional stage at 7pm, 8pm & 9pm
  3. Tombola will be used for this promotion.
  4. Tickets will be capped at 40, 20 for slots, 20 for tables to improve more chances of winning
  5. Dual players can play slots & tables to maximize tickets earning to 40 entries
  6. Prizes range from Cash, +Play
  7. Contestants will be given 90 seconds to present themselves on stage with any form of identification to verify the ticket such as (ID book/Driver’s licence and the Hemingways Rewards card)
  8. Participants will be given a chance to choose from the 9 boxes on stage if they want to (half, match or double their winnings)
  9. Patrons can only win once in a draw evening.
  10. The remaining Prize Money not won during the promotional period will be given away by means of a draw after the final draw on the 30 March.
  11. The tickets earned in the last earning period will qualify for the draw for the remaining Prize Money only 1 ticket /winner will be selected.
  12. Any person who is under 18, or who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who falls into any category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from gambling and/or participating in this promotional competition
  13. This promotional competition is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  14. This promotional competition is exclusive to all Rewards Programme cardholders (“Participants”) subject to their respective active membership(s) Hemingway’s Casino.
  15. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration. Entries accrue proportionally to points earned during 2 February 9am to 28 March 23h00pm 2024 (“Promotional Earning Period”). Points are not transferable.
  16. The draw is an attendance draw and all Participants are required to be present on the draw day on draw days to be eligible for a prize: Provided that a participant elects not to be present in person when the winner/s are announced, the participant must nominate another person who has been duly authorized in writing to attend the draw on behalf of a participant in the form and manner determined by management. Nomination forms will be available at the Customer Services Desk from the opening and closing times for the tombola.
  17. Participants or duly authorized representatives shall be required to present themselves within 90 seconds from the time of announcement, and must produce the valid ticket entry and positive and acceptable form of identification e.g. a South African I.D./South African Driver’s License/Passport or other official form of identification as approved by the casino, Hemingways Casino Rewards card of the individual that they are representing and any other details as required. A redraw will occur should participants not present themselves within 90 seconds.
  18. Authorized representatives or a participant shall not be entitled to any prizes and shall not take receipt of prizes accruing to the Participants they represent
  19. Prizes are to be collected and signed for receipt thereof by the relevant Prize Winner (not representative), as the case may be, within 15 days from the date of the draw from the casino where the prize(s) were won.
  20. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item(s) unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must sign for the receipt of prizes
  21. Should the prize winner who is eligible for a prize but who is not present as a result of nominating a representative to be present for the draw, the casino shall take all reasonable steps to contact the prize winner via the contact details provided in the proxy form or otherwise readily available.  In such circumstances, the prize winner may within15 days of the draw claim the prize.
  22. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
  23. Surveillance specialist, Security & Marketing will audit the draws
  24. A register will be available at the Customer Service Desk & VIP helpdesk from 10am on the draw day and guests may select a proxy to represent them in the draw between
  25. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
