When can I activate my tickets and when are the draws?

Tickets activation start at 9am am to 20h55pm on the respective weekly draw day.

Tickets activation for the Finals Cash draw start at 9am to 21h45pm on the respective draw day.

Draw Dates & Times

R147 000 Cash Draw Times – Every Saturday from  7pm-10pm – Two finalist will be selected hourly

R80 000 Weekly Cash Draw Times – 7pm -9pm – Three finalist will be selected hourly

These are attendance draws ALL patrons are required to be present on draw days.

1. Any person who is under 18, or who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who falls into any category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from gambling and/or participating in this promotional competition
2. This promotional competition is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
3. This promotional competition is exclusive to all Rewards Programme cardholders (“Participants”) subject to their respective active membership(s) Hemingways Casino.
4. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration. Entries accrue proportionately to points earned during (“Promotional Earning Period”). Points are not transferable.
5. Participants earn points by playing Slots and/or Tables whilst using their respective Rewards Cards at the Hemingways Casino during the Promotional Period.
6. Cardholders must activate their entry tickets into the draws when the electronic entry bins are open. The opening and closing times for the electronic entry bins will be advertised through mediums used within the casino.
7. Draw times, dates, and points criteria to earn tickets will be advertised through advertising mediums used for this promotion.
8. Prize Winners will be selected by a way of random draw; all draws will be done electronically.
9. Patrons can only be drawn once on a draw evening.
10. All Participants are required to be present at the draws (cash and prize draws).
11. Provided that a participant elects not to be present in person when the winner/s are announced, the participant must nominate another person who has been duly authorized in writing to attend the draw on behalf of a participant in the form and manner determined by Management. Nomination forms will be available at the Customer Services Desk from the opening and closing times for the electronic entry bin.
12. Authorized representatives or a participant shall not be entitled to any prizes and shall not take receipt of prizes accruing to the participant they represent.
13. Prizes are to be collected and signed for receipt thereof by the relevant Prize Winner (not representative), as the case may be, within 15 days from the date of the draw from the casino where the prize(s) were won.
14. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item(s) unless otherwise advertised. Signed forms must sign for receipt of prizes.
15. Participants or duly authorized representatives shall be required to present themselves within 90 seconds from time of announcement, and must produce the valid ticket entry and positive and acceptable form of identification e.g. a South African I.D./South African Driver’s License/Passport or other official form of identification as approved by the casino, Hemingways Casino Rewards card of the individual that they are representing and any other details as required. A redraw will occur should participants not present themselves within 90 seconds.
16. Should the prize winner not present themselves within 90 seconds, and there is no record of the prize winner nominating a representative to act on their behalf, a re-draw will take place.
17. Should the prize winner who is eligible for a prize but who is not present as a result of nominating a representative to be present for the draw, the casino shall take all reasonable steps to contact the prize winner via the contact details provided in the proxy form or otherwise readily available. In such circumstances, the prize winner may within 15 days of the draw claim the prize.
18. The prize winner must claim the prize at the casino within 15 days of the draw.
19. All decisions are final and binding, no correspondence or appeals will be entered into; any complaints arising at the event will be investigated and forwarded to the ECGBB for investigation and final decision.
20. In the event of technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotional draw, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, at the sole discretion of Management.
21. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
22. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
23. Surveillance specialist, Security & Marketing will audit the draws.
