Car Give-Away

1. Any person who is under 18, or who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who falls into any category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from gambling and/or participating in this promotional competition.
2. This promotional competition is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
3. This promotional competition is exclusive to all Rewards Programme cardholders (“Participants”) subject to their respective active membership(s) at Hemingway’s Casino.
4. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration. Entries accrue proportionally to points earned from 3 April 2023 09h00 to 15 June 2023 23h00 (“Promotional Earning Period”). Points are not transferable.
5. Draw ticket activation from 16 June 09h00 to 24 June 20h00 2023.
6. Participants earn points by playing Slots and/or Tables whilst using their respective Rewards Cards at the Hemingways Casino during the Promotional Period.
7. Participants must activate their entry into the draw(s), during the stipulated activation period from 09h00 on Friday, 16 June 9h00 2023 to 20h00 on Saturday, 24 June 2023 prior to the actual draw(s) within the specified times during which the electronic entry bins are open. The opening and closing times for the entry bins will be advertised through mediums used within the casino.
8. Draw times, dates, tier and points criteria to earn tickets will be advertised through advertising mediums used for this promotion.
9. Prize Winners will be selected by a way of the random draw; all draws will be done electronically.
10. Participants may enter draw tickets into all three levels.
11. Participants cannot be drawn more than once to qualify within each level.
12. The draw is an attendance draw and all Participants are required to be present on the draw day on 24 June 2023 to be eligible for a prize: Provided that a participant elects not to be present in person when the winner/s are announced, the participant must nominate another person who has been duly authorized in writing to attend the draw on behalf of a participant in the form and manner determined by management. Nomination forms will be available at the Customer Services Desk from the opening and closing times for the electronic entry bin.
13. Participants or duly authorized representatives shall be required to present themselves within 90 seconds from the time of announcement and must produce a valid ticket entry and positive and acceptable form of identification e.g. a South African I.D./South African Driver’s License/Passport or another official form of identification as approved by the casino, Hemingways Casino Rewards card of the individual that they are representing and any other details as required. A redraw will occur should participants not present themselves within 90 seconds.
14. Authorized representatives or a participant shall not be entitled to any prizes and shall not take receipt of prizes accruing to the Participants they represent.
15. Prizes are to be collected and signed for the receipt thereof by the relevant Prize Winner (not representative), as the case may be, within 15 days from the date of the draw from the casino where the prize(s) were won.
16. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item(s) unless otherwise advertised.
17. Prize winners who are present will be given 90 seconds to present themselves and must be in possession of evidence of the winning ticket and/or Hemingways Card belonging to the winner; and a positive and acceptable form of identification.
18. Should the prize winner not present themselves within 90 seconds, and there is no record of the prize winner nominating a representative to act on their behalf, a re-draw will take place.
19. Should the prize winner who is eligible for a prize but who is not present as a result of nominating a representative to be present for the draw, the casino shall take all reasonable steps to contact the prize winner via the contact details provided in the proxy form or otherwise readily available.  In such circumstances, the prize winner may within 15 days of the draw claim the prize.
20. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes.
21. The prize winner must claim the prize at the casino within 15 days of the draw.
22. All decisions are final and binding, no correspondence or appeals will be entered into; any complaints arising at the event will be investigated and forwarded to the ECGBB for investigation and final decision.
23. In the event of technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotional draw, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, at the sole discretion of Management.
24. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
25. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.

Slots Draws

1. The Lucky Time bonusing system will randomly select a slot machine located on the main casino floor and smoking section.
2. Customers will be allowed to participate in promotions more than once depending on slot machine selection by the system.
3. Once positive verification has been received, the finalist will be issued with a manual draw entry ticket for the 21h30 cash and free play draw
4. Five finalists will be drawn to take part in the 21h30 draw and will choose one of five boxes that will contain a cash and free play prize. The finalist will select boxes in the order that they were drawn.
5. Prizes will be offered based on the finalist selection.
6. In the event of technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotional draw, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, at the sole discretion of Management.

Tables Draws

10. A win on the tables strictly constitutes the following combinations:

12. Blackjack – Blackjack of the same suit
13. Poker – 3 of a kind or higher
14. Guests with winning combinations will receive an entry ticket into the prize draw at 22h30 on the promotion day and be rewarded Free Play according to their tier status.
15. Five winners will be drawn to take part in the 22h30 draw and will choose from five boxes. The first winner drawn gets to choose one of the boxes first.
16. Prizes are to be collected and signed for the receipt thereof by the relevant Prize Winner (not representative), as the case may be, within 15 days from the date of the presentation of the prize/draw from the casino where the prize(s) were won.
17. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes.
